I don’t Smoke

Do you know someone who smokes cigars? Not ordinary cigarettes but those Cuban, Nicaraguan or Honduran brands?

Back home, almost everyone I know only smokes cigarettes. But here, I notice that there are more people who smoke cigars than cigarettes. I ask because I found a great site for those who love cigars. The site actually auctions different types and quantities so I’m pretty sure one would find a great deal and a huge variety available.

Personally, I don’t smoke. But if I did, an auction site is a great idea. I would just keep tabs on when the auction will end to make my final bid and hope nobody does the same.

Healthy Gift

When you visit a friend that you haven’t seen for a long time, do you bring a gift or token? I was wondering what the most appropriate gift would be. First I thought of wine, but nowadays there are people who don’t drink wine anymore, especially those that have a strict fitness routine.

So I thought of something generic, something that almost anyone can use, eat or drink and something that would be safe even for kids. I finally ended up with the perfect gift, Apple Fruit Baskets. Almost everyone eats apples and even if there are too many apples, it wouldn’t be a problem. You can recycle it and make sauces or bake pies with it.

I found a great site online to buy them so now, every time we visit a friend, I will always feel comfortable that they will appreciate my little token. Who can go wrong with apples?

Going Digital

I remember a time when I had to file a medical claim from my insurance company. That was years ago but I’m amazed how things have changed over the years, at least for some.

Back then there were long queues and waiting means hours and hours of lining up and waiting. Waiting was particularly long because they have to manually search for your file or folder which are stored in stacks of boxes somewhere in their store room.

Nowadays, thanks to a great number of scanning software, almost all handwritten sheets have been converted to digital format. There’s no need to search for folder, all the information are now readily available on a computer with a click of a button.
